You feel how I felt when I started on this book. I’ve not managed to pick it up again and maybe that’s why. The feeling that I’m doomed to failure. Ha.

That said, we can be servants to our children by providing them focus and support, and the best wisdom we can pass on. Honestly, it ends up that what we do is just part of the key to success. A lot rests with the child themselves.

Thank you SO much for your warning! I suspect I’ve already screwed up my oldest – he barely has his yellow belt in karate and he’s pushing 6 already. He might be able to catch up, though, if we skip all that silly bike-riding and swimming this summer.

But it might not be too late for my 4-year-old, thanks to your blog post. It’s a fine public service you’ve done.
