Two of them apparently got their heads together and created a 50's style soda fountain (unfortunately, this year I didn't get a chance to go around and visit, so I didn't see it myself). That same family passed out light up swords as gifts, and at one point, I joked to my wife that we should line up all the kids on the church lawn and have someone recite bits of "Braveheart". We do that at our church, and some of the families go all out. I agree, it is a cool way of doing things and helps protect my little ones from what Halloween has become. Sadly I went into a Halloween store yesterday to look at costumes. It's honestly a pretty cool way to do it. Kids are not freaked out by the really ugly things that are all over our neighborhood, the local church gets to get some advertising in, and my kids get Halloween. <br><br>The fact is that the holiday, if it can be termed as such, isn't the same when I was a boy.
