  1. Great advice. My wife was sick today, quarantined to our bedroom since 5:30 this morning. I had our son all day and it was, seriously, the best day I have had in a long time.

Even when he crapped up his leg. Even when he started screaming and squiggling. And especially when he and I went our for lunch.

  4. Great post. My wife and I have 3 kids, 14, 6 and 3 and we get aggrivated alot because they act like fools but you are right. One day they are going to leave home and it will be silent and I will miss them and wish they were back making the all of the noise they used to make.

  7. It’s easy to take the little things for granted, and important not to. Thanks for this reminder, Jeff!

Thanks for this post. I am the proud dad of two girls (5 & 2) and and they are quite loud. Sometimes I just want it to be QUIET…so I’ll have to remind myself of this post next time I have that feeling.

  13. Thanks Alan, yes the pooping and vomiting are the things I miss the most (not really, but I do recall them fondly!) 😉

  14. Thanks Rob. The more foolish the behavior the more you will remember it (and miss it when they act like adults!)

  15. Thanks Ian. Yep, it is the little stuff you’ll miss first.
