Congratulations go out to the New Orleans Saints for beating the Indianapolis Colts tonight in the SuperBowl 31-17 behind the MVP arm of Drew Brees. I was happy to see them win mostly because of everything the people of New Orleans went through a few years ago with Hurricane Katrina. It’s such an amazing story.

The thing that touched me the most wasn’t how happy the players were or even the fans who went crazy in the streets… it wasn’t even the extreme joy in Drew’s face as he was holding the SuperBowl trophy. It was seing Drew Brees with tears in his eyes as he held his son Baylen Brees amidst all the madness. Being a dad, I was moved instantly by that moment that he’ll never forget.

Brees' approach is no accident. He is a man of God. Check this out.

That was a great moment. I was rooting for the Saints and seeing that after made me even happier for Drew given what he went through getting unceremoniously dumped by the Chargers. Reminded me a little of Bruschi playing with his boys before the Super Bowl a few years ago.

That moment was the most fantastic one I have ever seen in a Super Bowl. I think every Dad in America watching that had to be moved. Here is a guy who in his greatest moment of his professional career wasn't grandstanding, acting the fool, instead he shared that moment with his son. That was profound and got me right in the gut.

I was just talking about this moment on Accident Hash.

Like you, as a Dad I suddenly had more respect for Brees. I had no idea he was a Dad until that moment and I loved it. Can you imagine his son looking at these pictures years from now? Going to make for some fun conversations.

Like any father that saw that moment, I immediately identified with Brees. Sharing that moment with his new son had to make it so much more special for him. Seeing it, sure did for me.

It's great to see that so many dad's caught that moment. It definitely inspired me. We have all seen athletes bring their kids down on the field, but Drew Brees' focus on his child and sharing that moment as he did was a great Dad moment.

We don't all have a Super Bowl to share, in fact his son probably won't remember this one, but we all have time to share with our kids.
