This made me cry. It’s beautiful. By far, my favorite video of Chris Brogan.

  2. This movie brought tears to my eyes too Chris. You and your family are blessed. It is so wonderful that when you can be there, you are actually PRESENT with your family.

  3. So moving – got me all emotional. Keep it up Chris, and keep creating those memories, not only for you, but for them.

Thank you for sharing the special and private moments of life. The excitement of little kids is priceless. The pulling on the strings of the hood and pulling on the hood is so in the moment and not that dad will be gone. I can so relate with a 4 y/o boy who never cares if Mom spends 24 hrs a day with him but more those short 20 minutes where he is living in the moment and giggling, jumping up and down. The laughter is what makes work worthwhile.

  5. If you can’t have quantity, it’s best to have quality time.

That’s some of your best work right there, Chris.

    Thanks for sharing.

  10. That was a great video. Stinks you can’t spend more time with the kids but I am assuming when your work is done or slows down in the social media arena you will have more time with the family. Thanks for sharing such a personal video.

  28. It’s always better to be able to spend *more* time with our kids than *less*, but it’s the quality of the time we can afford that’s the real key. Plus, as you say, – “staying connected” – which of course has taken on a whole new meaning with the internet, web cams, live feeds, social media, cell phones, etc.

Nice video Chris and great music for the background.

  31. My eyes started tearing up. As a father of a 3-month old boy, I always look forward to spending time with him. Great video.

  34. Very moving Chris. Thanks for sharing! It was a nice reminder that… you know what… I LOVE being a dad!

  35. I’m not even a dad and that was just freaking awesome. Touching vid.

  36. Thanks for sharing that moment with us. What is it about jumping up and down on dad (or mom in my case) that is so awesome? It can’t be explained. But who cares if it makes them so happy right?

  37. Wow. Great moments to capture. You will really know how great when you look back at it years from now. Watching you and Harold zapped me back in time and place, when I could do that with my kids. Now my oldest son is 21 and 6 foot 1, yet he too once bounced on my knees and pulled on my fingers. Now we hug a lot, but I have to hope he doesn’t crush me! Thanks for sharing! (And kudos to the camerawoman!)

  49. I’ve been walking this tightrope for years, brother, like so many other hardworking parents I meet every day.

It’s enough to know in your own heart that you’re trying, even though there’ll be times when it doesn’t seem to cut it. Kids have a way of feeling that they’re the center of the universe, even among their own sibs, so fight the tendency to take it personally when work-life balance tips toward the job occasionally and the kids forget about these moments while they complain that you’re “always” working. You’ll know better.

But it does fly by, man, so stay tough up there on the tightrope.
